Honda Civic: The Green Champ!

Green Car Journal has announced that this year's Green Car of the Year Award goes to- the Honda Civic. The natural gas-powered Honda Civic that is, which is set to hit at least 200 dealerships in over 36 states this year. The natural gas-powered Civic left two electric vehicles in the dust to take the crown as the 2012 Green Car of the year. Interestingly, this particular type of Honda has been in production for nearly 14 years; however, limited availability has yielded mediocre sales. This year Honda is switching gears and putting a great deal of focus into unleashing this Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle in mass quantities to the market.

With the new natural gas-powered Honda Civic, an impressive driving range can be expected and the fueling process should take about five minutes at fueling stations that provide compressed natural gas. Also, a wall mounted system gives the natural gas-powered Civic owners the option of filling up overnight. It's truly a wonder that this trend hasn't started earlier with gasoline prices reaching new levels.  Natural gas prices are more than 30% cheaper than that of gasoline prices today. When something is not only good for the environment but also good for your budget, how can you really lose?

We anticipate this new natural gas-powered Honda Civic to be a sure hit. It offers so many great benefits, there's no way you can go wrong. These amazing cars will be released throughout the year to the market but in the meantime be sure to stop by Planet Honda to find an excellent Honda in the Springfield area!
