This week it was announced that the 2012 Honda Pilot was named the "Family Car of the Year" by Cars.com. This is not the first award for the 2012 Pilot. USA today, Motorweek and Cars.com has already named the Pilot a top pick for "37K and Under SUV Shootout."  The eight passenger vehicle received many upgrades in the past year including better fuel economy, enhanced interior design, redesigned front end design. The prestigious "Family Car of the Year" award was created five years ago to highlight vehicles that catered to the needs of a family while keeping them safe. Last year the award was presented to the Honda Odyssey. This year the Honda Odyssey was recognized by Parenting Magazine as "Smartest Family Cars of 2012" The February 2012 Issue of Parenting Magazine is on stands now. The issue is called the "Genius" Issue focused on ways parents can maximize their children's genius ability.
