Some Dreams Do Come True

It's called, "Earth Dreams".  With a name like this, it has to be something remarkable. Honda is making the news again with a new engine and transmission series known as "Earth Dreams Technology" that is as captivating as the title suggests.  Honda has always been ahead of the game when it comes to eco-friendly vehicles but one major goal for Honda in the near future is to achieve unrivaled fuel-efficiency within each category of engines that the company produces.

The Earth Dreams technology serves as evidence that the Japanese automaker is definitely moving in the right direction in regards to reaching this goal. This new technology will be unleashed in the new 2012 Honda Civic later in the year. The Civic will be equipped with a 1.6-liter i-DTEC, which is a small diesel engine.  For its size, the engine is lighter than all other diesel engines and the engine offers top-notch fuel economy relative to performance. Some specifics include a maximum power output of 120 PS, CO2 emissions of 95g/km and 3000Nm of torque. President and CEO of Honda Motor Co., LTD Takanobu Ito announced the new technology at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Be sure to stay tuned in as we at Planet Honda learn more about this and other concepts premiering at the Geneva Motor Show. In the meantime, feel free to stop by and check out our great selection of Honda new and used cars for sale in NJ!
