Racing is one Honda's specialties and Honda has been the main provider of engines to the IndyCar racing since 2006. Honda was given exclusive creation privileges after two back to back seasons of winning the manufactures' championship.

Last week, on February 9th, it was announced by Honda and MotorWeek that the 2012 Honda Odyssey was named the Best Minivan for the 2012 MotorWeek Drivers' Choice Awards. Honda has won one of the MotorWeek Awards 29 times, with the Odyssey winning for the six times, many of which were back to back years.

Honda has proven again and again that with green cars you can have the brains without sacrificing the beauty. With so many fuel efficient vehicles on the roads it is no surprise that Planet Honda is supporting a local event focused on being eco-friendly to our environment. This March Planet Honda is excited to announce our presence at the Garden State GreenFest.

The Honda Civic is a well known name throughout the world. So is it really a surprise that the 2012 Honda Civic was named one of the Best New Cars on About.com's 2012 list? The answer is no. The award states that "the Civic is hand-down the most comprehensive compact car on the market." And the lineup of Civic is variety packed.

This week it was announced that the 2012 Honda Pilot was named the "Family Car of the Year" by Cars.com. This is not the first award for the 2012 Pilot. USA today, Motorweek and Cars.com has already named the Pilot a top pick for "37K and Under SUV Shootout."

At American Honda in Torrance, CA, our associates spent part of their day in service to others by stuffing and sewing more than 600 pillows for The Painted Turtle (non profit) in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday.

Exciting news for Honda was announced last week at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI. An all new Acura will be built and developed in Ohio in the coming years. It's uplifting in these tough times that one of the bestselling car manufacturers is investing in America's future by developing and building vehicles here.

After 36 years as a top contender for the title of bestselling car, it's no surprise the Honda Accord will be getting some personal attention. The 2013 Accord will introduce the Coupe Concept.

Planet Honda ended 2011 as the largest new and certified pre-owned Honda dealership in New Jersey according to records maintained by American Honda Motors Corp.

Planet Honda also ended 2011 as the 6th largest new Honda dealership in the U.S.

Planet Honda beat out DCH Paramus Honda, Route 22 Honda, Garden State Honda, VIP Honda, Open Road Honda and others to take the New Jersey Honda sales title.

Starting in 2012 Honda will begin focusing their efforts on making their vehicles 10 percent lighter. All of us here at Newark Honda are eager to see the new changes.

Honda will change the design and how the car is manufactured. There are currently two steel sheets, of varying thickness, they will combine into one. The one sheet is heat treated making it stronger. Another change will be in the welding. Outer panels will be?
