How to Find Your Honda Radio Code: Step-By-Step Guide

Do you need to retrieve your Honda radio code? Do you want to do so without heading down to your local Honda dealership? If so, this guide is for you! Whether you need to retrieve your radio code to troubleshoot an issue, to reset your radio after a battery replacement or because someone has stolen your radio, it’s easy to retrieve your code and get the help you need.

Steps for Obtaining Your Honda Radio Code:

1) Go to mygarage.honda.com

This website will provide you with instructions on how to locate your codes after you answer a few simple questions to confirm your identity. However, please note that you will not receive a radio code over the phone! This is for your own protection!

2) Check your Anti-Theft Radio Identification Card

New Honda models come with an Anti-Theft Radio Identification Card that lists your Code Number and Serial Number. If your Honda has a Navigation System, this card will contain an additional box. Do not keep this card in your vehicle!

 

3) Check your Service History Book

You may be able to find your Honda Radio Code in your Service History Book. Specifically, check the pages that pertain to Pre-Delivery Inspection.

4) Look in your glove box and center console

In some Honda models, you’ll find a four- or five-digit number that represents your Code, or an eight-digit number that represents your Serial Number in the glove box or center console. Be sure to check both of these areas before coming down to our Honda dealership.

5) Schedule a Service Appointment at Planet Honda

If you can’t find your Honda Radio Code, there’s no need to worry. Simply bring your car to our Honda dealership in Union, NJ, and we’ll find the information you need. We’ll need to see your identification (Driver’s License and Registration), but from there the procedure is fast! Please know that there’s an additional cost of $116 if we need to remove the radio completely, which is generally only necessary for older Honda models.
